eVision and CASRAI are rejoining forces to bring you the best in research standardization process

Monday, 3 February, 2020

eVision Inc. is pleased to announce that it is (re)joining CASRAI as a Sponsor!

eVision was there at the very beginning of the CASRAI initiative back in 2006. At that time the Directors at eVision saw the need for an independent, informal standards initiative to develop the agreements needed among institutions, funders and software systems providers to reduce the complexity and duplication that was leading to undue administrative burdens on both Researchers and Administrators.
eVision reduced its role since the founding years while CASRAI focused on building up interest and community among research institutions in Canada, UK and Europe. With the introduction of its new Sponsor levels of participation eVision is happy to be the first solutions provider to join in this new category.

To further support CASRAI initiative, eVision has agreed to help with some office and administrative services.
We look forward to further developing our relationship with this important standards-leader in the commercial space.

ABOUT CASRAI

Researchers spend close to half of their time on administration rather than research. Some administrative burden is expected for good management and protections but duplication & complexity is on the rise in the administrative information being collected from researchers.

Whether it’s pre-award (applications, CVs) or post-award (compliance, reporting) at multiple funders and their own institution – researchers are plagued by overly complex web-forms into which they retype the same information over and over and over.

Our work is to actively foster networks of collaboration across the key & diverse stakeholders who collect information from researchers during the research life-cycle and to publish standard guidelines and recommendations that enable funders, vendors and research institutions to reduce undue burden.
